TEEBAgriFood Country Implementation under EU funding (Partnership Instrument)

The core project goal is to stimulate biodiversity conservation and ecosystem service provisioning for agricultural landscapes for the seven countries in scope.

This project aims to protect biodiversity and contribute to a more sustainable agriculture and food sector in seven EU partner countries (Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico and Thailand), with a view to moving towards a level playing field by avoiding unfair competition through low environmental standards. It is based on an internationally agreed methodological framework, introduced in the G8+5 context by the EU, addressing the economics of ecosystems and biodiversity.

The project will begin in January 2019.
