Naomi Young joined TEEB as a Programme Support intern in December 2020. She holds an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London (UK), and a BSc in Physical Geography from Durham University (UK). Her academic and research interests have been predominately concerned with climate change, environmental conservation, and environmental remote sensing, with a focus on the interdisciplinary relationship between environment and society. These interests have also been supported by her previous experience with IUCN and the Global Protected Areas Programme, with a focus on biodiversity conservation, environmental law and policy, and bottom-up conservation initiatives involving local and indigenous communities. In her free time, Naomi enjoys hiking and walking outdoors, improving her landscape photography, and discovering new music.
