Marco Morettini joined TEEB in June 2021 and is currently working remotely from Cupramontana, his hometown in Italy.
As a Programme Support Intern he is collaborating with the WWF to support the management of Action Track 3 on “Nature-positive food production” in the Food Systems Summit. More specifically, within the Action Track 3, he is working with the Global Soil Hub.
Marco will soon get a MSc in Resource Economics and Sustainable Development at the University of Bologna and holds a BSc in Economic and Business at the Polytechnic University of Marche. Furthermore, he spent the whole 3rd year of BSc at the University of Lille through the Erasmus+ exchange programme.
His research interests include development economics, food systems, behavioral economics, bioeconomy, energy systems and sustainable management of natural resources. He is currently drawing up his MSc thesis on the impacts of regenerative agriculture on food systems transformation.
He is passionate about football and plays as a goalkeeper. In this regard, he spent three years around Italy, one semester in Spain and the year in France playing at high-amateur levels.
